Venerable Theodora and her daughter Theopiste

Commemorated on August 29.

Although the commemoration of these saints is on August 29, their celebration was moved to August 3 because of the Feast of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist.

Troparion

By a flood of tears you made the desert fertile,
and your longing for God brought forth fruits in abundance.
By the radiance of miracles you illumined the whole universe!
O our holy mothers Theodora and Theopiste, pray to Christ our God to save our souls!
