First Prayer of St Macarius the Great

O God, cleanse me a sinner, for never have I done any good thing before Thee. Deliver me, then, from the evil one, and let Thy will be in me, that without condemnation I may open my unworthy mouth, and praise Thy holy Name: of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
