Before Travel

O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, who didst journey with Luke and Cleopas to Emmaus: journey now also, O Master, with this Thy servant, blessing him/her with every blessing. Deliver him/her from every snare on the way, from cold and heat, from weariness and sloth; preserve him/her from every evil and the assaults of the unseen enemy. Grant a safe return, the keeping of Thy commandments, and a place in Thy Kingdom: where there is the unending sound of those who keep festival, the unceasing voice of those that delight in the beauty of Thy countenance. For Thou art the way and the life and the peace of all who travel, and to Thee we send up glory, with Thine eternal Father and Thy life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
